Thousands of pilgrims, including visitors from Kenya, have already flocked to the Namugongo Basilica and the Anglican Shrines, presenting a multitude of business prospects for savvy entrepreneurs. In this article, we explore the flourishing temporary businesses and the commercial significance surrounding the Martyrs' Day celebrations.

Catering to Pilgrims' Needs:
Temporary businesses have sprouted along the roads leading to the shrine and within the designated premises, capitalizing on the influx of pilgrims. These enterprising ventures offer a wide array of products and services tailored to meet the demands of the faithful. Leading corporations such as Centenary bank have set up base to provide the pilgrims with customer care services.

Retail Opportunities:
Notably the commonest ,entrepreneurs have established small mobile retail shops offering various items such as calendars, home cutlery, and the second-hand clothings. Additionally, religious items like Rosaries are in high demand among the pilgrims, providing a lucrative market for vendors.

Food Ventures:
With hunger pangs inevitable during the long day of celebrations, food and restaurant businesses have seized the opportunity to satiate about 40,000 pilgrims' appetites. 

Chapati and Rolex, two local favorites, dominate the menus of food establishments near the shrine. Entrepreneurs specializing in these delectable treats can expect a surge in demand during the Martyrs' Day celebrations. 

Entertainment Services:
To add a touch of spirituality to the celebrations, businesses specializing in burning and copying gospel songs have emerged, catering to those seeking uplifting musical experiences. Such services present an opportunity for entrepreneurs to tap into the growing demand for spiritual entertainment.

Mobile Phone Accessories:
Given the extensive presence of pilgrims, phone repair services have become indispensable. Entrepreneurs with expertise in fixing mobile devices can capitalize on this high-demand service, ensuring the uninterrupted connectivity of attendees throughout the festivities.

Enhanced Security Measures:
Ensuring a secure environment is paramount for the success of any large-scale event. With the presence of both military and police personnel, security has been substantially reinforced to safeguard the well-being of the attendees. Entrepreneurs involved in the security industry can contribute by providing additional services, such as surveillance systems or crowd control solutions.

Hotel and accommodation facilities:
As majority of the pilgrims prefer to camp and stay at the marytrs shrines, there has notably been a huge boast in the accommodation facilities for the local guest houses as some ideally prefer to stay in well established facilities.

Road Diversion:
On the downside, To manage traffic flow and facilitate the movement of pilgrims, the authorities have implemented a temporary road diversion along the Kyariwajara route. Businesses specializing in transportation(bodas and taxis) have not been able to operate normally as they find them selves unable to operate following police suspension of their stages as per the police communication in the aim to ensure smooth access to the celebrations.
